Privacy policy
Goal Kuchick is a street football game for Android and iPhone, made by T++ ("we"). This policy explains what information the game uses and why. The short version: you can play as a guest, signing in is optional, the game has no ads, analytics or in-app purchases right now, and we never sell your information.
This version also covers game accounts and cloud save, which arrive with the next test builds of the game.
Your game account
The first time you start the game, it creates a guest account for you with our account service, Unity Gaming Services (run by Unity Technologies). A guest account is just a random player ID: it holds no name, email or phone number. The game uses it to back up your progress and to keep your place in online play.
Your account stores:
- your random player ID;
- your street name (3 to 16 letters and numbers, chosen by you);
- your story progress and game settings (cloud save), so they come back on a new phone;
- the sign-in IDs of the services you link (below).
Signing in (optional)
You can link your account to the sign-in your phone already has, so it follows you to a new phone:
- Android: Google Play Games signs you in automatically if you use it. We receive your Play Games player ID.
- iPhone: Game Center signs you in automatically if you use it, and you can also choose Sign in with Apple. We receive your Game Center player ID or Apple's user ID for the game. We do not ask Apple for your name or email.
We use these IDs only to recognise your account. Google and Apple handle these sign-ins under their own privacy policies (Google, Apple). If you don't sign in, you keep playing as a guest.
What is sent when you play online
Online matches only work if a few things go to our match servers:
- Your street name, so the other players in your match can see who they are playing. Please don't use your real name.
- A random install ID that the game makes the first time it runs. It is not your phone's hardware ID. It lets you get your place back if your connection drops during a match.
- Network information: like any online service, the servers see your phone's internet (IP) address, and the game measures how quickly your phone reaches our server locations so that it can pick the nearest one.
The match servers keep your street name and install ID only while your match is running. If you only play offline, none of this is sent.
Account and matchmaking requests are sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). The match itself uses a fast game connection that is not encrypted, so your street name and install ID cross it unencrypted.
Who handles your information
- Unity Technologies (Unity Gaming Services) stores your game account and cloud save for us and processes it only to provide them (Unity's privacy policy).
- Edgegap, a game server hosting company, runs our match servers and matchmaking. Like most internet services, its systems may keep technical logs, such as IP addresses and connection times, for a short period for security and operations.
- Google and Apple run Google Play Games, Game Center and Sign in with Apple, and collect their own information about installs and crashes when you get the game from Google Play or TestFlight.
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, and its fonts come from Google Fonts, so GitHub and Google see your IP address when you visit it. The website itself sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
What the game doesn't do
- No passwords: you sign in through Google Play Games, Game Center or Apple, or not at all.
- No ads right now: the game shows no ads, uses no advertising ID and doesn't track you across apps.
- No analytics or crash-reporting tools of our own right now.
- No in-app purchases yet.
- No location, contacts, camera, microphone or photos.
- We never sell or rent your information.
If we add ads, analytics or in-app purchases, we will update this policy first: which ad, analytics and payment services the game uses, what they collect, and the choices you have.
How long we keep it
Your account and cloud save are kept until you delete your account. Signing out or uninstalling the game does not delete it, so you can come back to it. Match information is kept only while the match runs.
Deleting your account
In the game, go to Settings > Account > Delete account. That deletes your account and its cloud save straight away (with Sign in with Apple, we also withdraw the game's access to your Apple ID), and the game starts again as a new guest. If you can't open the game, see goalkuchick.com/delete-account to ask us by email; we delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.
Your choices and rights
You can play as a guest, choose not to sign in, and delete your account at any time. You can also email us to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, or to correct or delete it.
Children
Goal Kuchick is meant for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If the game starts using information in a new way, we will update this page and its date before that version is released.
